I want to, in the next 5 years, eventually move on a boat and live a bit off the grid with access to marinas up and down the east coast. The problem is that I have no knowledge about boats and I have no idea where to start or what steps I should even take to attempt to prepare. Does anyone have any tips? I know purchase is a long ways off at this point so I'm trying not to focus too much on that aspect. I reside in GA so any specific programs in the area will be much appreciated.
