I am flying from Hawaii to California and I wanted to know what happens once you arrive to the airport in California? As far as does TSA check your gun to make sure it's legal in that state? Or do I just pick it up at baggage claim and be on my way?

You can ship your luggage by Federal Express. Ship it to the hotel where you have a reservation. I for one would not fly in those circumstances. I can meet a better class of people by hitchhiking, accepting rides with strangers. Yes, I have been picked up by potheads, professional murderers, qu**rs, and sleepy truck drivers. They were all decent people and never violated my rights in any way.
