Has anyone had a family member(dog) that was diagnost with kidney cancer?

stopped urinating and still had a vet find a way for them to live. Any comments will be helpful. My female has had a slow drip urination for sometime

stopped urinating and still had a vet find a way for them to live. Any comments will be helpful. My female has had a slow drip urination for sometime and they have been giving her antibiotics .Today she couldn't urinate we took her to the vet and they drained some then told us that we needed to agree to put her down. She is eating ,drinking,and walking around the farm ,rolling in the yard and still having bowell movements. So hard to believe they can't do anything for her.
