Do I have a brain disorder????

I mix my words up so bad in sentences and don't realize I'm doing it until after I say it. It makes me sound so stupid. Like for example, I said " that is the truest thing all night I have ever heard" but I meant to say "That is the truest thing I have heard all night" Up until a year or two ago, I would punch myself in the head or bang my head against the wall when I get deeply upset. Did I do this? This happens all the time when I'm talking. I don't even have to be nervous. I think I use to have serious issues with depression. Or something. I got upset I would cry and bang my head against walls, hit myself HARD with my fists... that's not normal.

or:First of all please stop hurting yourself. This is not a constructive way to deal with stress/depression/anger/etc. If you have been on depression medication it's possible that it's some sort of side effect. It's unlikely that hitting your head was the cause, but it's not necessarily impossible either. If this is something that recently started happening and not something you have had your entire life I would definitely ask your physician. If you have had this the most of your life then it could be a type of dyslexia. Either way talk to your physician.
