One is responsible to life: It is the small beacon in that terrifying darkness from which we come and to which we will return. One must negotiate this passage as nobly as possible, for the sake of those who are coming after us. I know that obviously one of the points he makes is that death is inevitable and that it is the only thing that is promised to us, but what else does he mean?
