Hello,

This is my first time posting a question. I need some feedback as to how to deal with my future sister in law. My fiancee and I have been together for over 4 years. He has a younger sister that is very loud, opinionated, gets her way etc His family even no longer reacts to her acting this way and just gives in and bows to her every demand. I am a very quiet reserved person so this behavior bothers me. She constantly posts attention seeking statuses on Facebook. Recently it appears to me that she needs to "compete" with me for attention and it is starting to bother me.

Examples:
- I purchased an SUV and a few months later she purchased an SUV without even having a stable job.
- My fiancee and I get engaged and a few months later she gets engaged (even though they were together less than a year. The ring looks exactly like mine FYI.) We all were required to attend a family get together to which the news was sprung on us and to "praise" her on the engagement. Then we had to hear constantly about her wedding plans even though it was 2 years away. She nor her fiancee have the funds to pay for this wedding and I am expecting it is yet another thing her parents will pay for (even though my fiancee and I are paying for most of our wedding).
- My fiancee and I had plans to purchase a house but decided to wait until we had more savings. The other day my fiancee and I were required to attend yet another family get together where the news was sprung on us that my sister in law and her fiancee had purchased a house (She is in school, he doesn't make that much money and he was "gifted" the money for a down payment from his family - probably through pressure from my sister in law).
Does this not seem a little weird??
Even though i did not say anything negative when I heard the news they were purchasing a house she continues to post passive aggressive status updates on Facebook (trying to get a reaction out of me).
What should I do? By ignoring it the behavior seems to continue..

or:Speak to your man about it because that is a joke and if he doesnt understand make him

or:Hi AnonymousI know exactly how you feel, i am in the exact same dilemma as you. Its terrible. What you just listed as examples is the exact same thing that happened to me.The next thing that is going to grab everyone's attention is her pregnancy, even though shes only been married 6 months. Just to keep the spotlight on her.
