or:they both sound good to me but i would choose \"four hours are\" it sounds correct to me. i've always been good a spelling and grammar but haven't been good at explaining my work. but using \"four hours are\" is better.


or:i will choose four hours is the time you need because it is too redundant if you still use are to emphasize its plurality besides the pronoun you can use any singular or plural form of verb
