I know I shouldnt worry about what other people think of me but its kind of hard not to when people always tell me that my cheeks look like they have

I know I shouldn't worry about what other people think of me but it's kind of hard not to when people always tell me that my cheeks look like they have apples in them or they are as big as balloons. My mom says it's just baby fat and I'll grow out of it but I'm 12, almost 13, and I still have it. It really hurts my feelings when people talk about them rudely. I know they're fat. Is there anything I can do to lose weight in my face?
