How can I forget about a guy I never went out with?

i had a guy friend who we really became close with each other and suppose he liked me and i liked him .. we never went out but we were always doing stuff like friends with benefits but not all the way friends with benefits.. then he left school to go to another school and we still hangout but then he started acting weird and i started to feel bad because i felt he had a girlfriend and sure enough he did and he never told me, it didn't really hurt but then when i found out it was his ex i was super mad because i was all dumb to be there for him and him to go back to her who cheated on him many times but then they broke up again.. but i need help on how to forget him because i know im wasting my time on him and waiting for him to text me and call me and its killing me down inside because im always missing him and remembering all the good time we had together.

It ticks me off and now I'm just sitting around and waiting for the days to get back here and have some fun with her again
