I really love swimming and I want to get faster because all of my friends are very fast... They will swim D1 in college. I practice with this really hard team. Will swimming get easier after a while or will I always feel dead after practice? We usually swim 5000m per practice ugh. This is my second season of swimming ever. People say I have a swimmers build but I'm not super fast. I am 6'1. If I stick with it will I get faster? My current 100 time is a 58.00. What should I do? I am a sophomore in high school.

or:i would think you could get faster yes if you stick with it you will get faster it just takes time doesn't happen over night but will happen when your ready and you can push your self

or:Start with total body strength training. In order to move more water you need a stronger body. Put yourself on a low carb, high protein, diet. Cut down on bread and junk food etc. You can still have those foods just be frugal with them. Drink diet soda instead of regular soda and switch to juices that only use 100% juice, and no added sugars. Use flip turns: spend the least amount of time on the wall as possible, just flip. Technique: perfecting the deep catch stroke will help you move faster. Despite all the different techniques, research has proven this is best for speed.Workout: commit to swimming sessions at least three times per week, you should always push your limits or you'll reach a plateau or reverse, but do it safely.like any sport or profession, you need discipline and commitment to get better. It's never easy, and there will be times you feel like quitting but remember to keep trying, the results are worth it.
