How can I keep my dog from jumping off of the bed?

My dog recently had a back injury that the vet doesnt think shell ever fully recover from. Due to the injury she has some loss of strength in her back

My dog recently had a back injury that the vet doesn't think she'll ever fully recover from. Due to the injury she has some loss of strength in her back legs. I want to let her sleep in the bed with me like normal. I've already looked at bed railings, but I haven't found any that are long enough to block the whole bed. Is there any other way I can keep her from jumping off the bed?

or:How did she get on the bed? If she is strong enough to jump up, she is strong enough to jump down. However there are lots of ways to provide a stairway. Anybody who works in wood even a little bit can make a carpeted stairway for your dog. A lot of people have stairs built for their aging dogs to climb onto the bed. Twenty bux at Petsmart.
