How do I catch my dog outside?

My dog is very shy and she escaped a few days ago. She stays near the house and gets close whenever I play with her daughter when she is on her run. S

My dog is very shy and she escaped a few days ago. She stays near the house and gets close whenever I play with her daughter when she is on her run. She won't actually come too close for me to get her. She hasn't been abused by us but we adopted her from a shelter in NH. I would like to know why she won't come and how can I help her to come.
