How do I deal with an annoying guy without hurting him?

Actually, he's asking me to go out with him since June (start of school) and we've already agreed to me accepting his courting when I turn 18. So at the mean time, he's been annoying, clingy and overreacting. He always want to hold hands, he doesn't want me to wear shorts, change his personality and interests for me; and I think it's freaking annoying and possesive of him. I don't wanna be locked up with one man for the rest of my teen-being, of course. I need experiences, even in a friendly-manner. But he doesn't want me to befriend any dude. Though at the same time I want to be sensitive towards his feelings because he expects so much from me.
What can I do to get out of this situation?

He is a possessive guy and you really should get out of this relationship.(Because he takes control of your dressing and some of your conducts) The best way to handle this situation is to let your parents (and friends you really trust)know and let them help you out. they`ll give some more guidance. Its uncomfortable for you and squadering your time because of him. If he is a very violent kind of guy, i think you should break up with him in a public place (park, cafe, some police guards near maybe if he`s violent) (speak to kindly so he see`s your sensitive to him but also be firm that you really mean it) and explain to the reason why you don`t want to date him anymore and have your parents nearby. (so you can have a safe get away).
