How do I lose weight? HELP!?

hi! Im 15 year old, female and i weight 76.700kg which is equivalent to 12st and 169pounds... I'm starting to go gym but sometimes I'm lost with things to do at the gym because I just want to tackle my belly, face and arms area. My legs aren't a problem as they are toned naturally.. I am determined to lose weight as not too long ago I was very skinny and believe I can do it.

I'm not a very healthy person, hence why I've put on the extra weight but I'm starting to dislike foods I use to love like chocolate and fast food like mcd, I try to avoid over eating but I can't stop nor say no to food... I grew up in a very strict family that I had to eat everything off the plate... But now as I'm getting fatter I rarely finish my food, but I'll eat other junk like crisps...

I want to get fit by December as its my birthday, I do try a lot of things to get fit, I try to drink plenty of water everyday and I trying to go gym almost everyday except Saturday and Sunday. At the gym I lose about 500 cal on cardio and more on weights and other stuff, but my sister says that's not enough and that i should burn at least 1000 cal a day... I don't know what equipment to use most the time apart from treadmill which I hate a lot! and I cant burn 1000 cal... I really want to lose weight! Any advice?

or:I myself was never overweight so I may not know exactly what it's like but I'm 15 as well and as far as exercise. It will make you more hungry and only increase your calorie intake so you could either exercise and make your calorie intake the same but the most important thing is to have a good diet!! Cutting down on carbs may also decrease your calorie intake a lot and get rid of belly fat if you have any. Instead eat nuts, fish, berries, leafy greens, and just in general very fresh foods. But aside from that your weight depends on you height so you can figure that out online on a BMI test. Also don't go crazy burning 1,000 calories a day progress over time but a thousand maybe a bit much lol. I suggest getting a good diet and a lot of sleep. Sleep may also help lol.
