So, I am getting my first tattoo, I am 28 and picked something with meaning. I have been putting a lot of thought into what I want. I decided to get it on my wrist.

A conversation came up with some friends and other people. A person said I will no longer be respected by men once they see my tattoo, and that I will be viewed as "low", and below them.

I am still getting it, I am doing it for me. :) but it opened up a huge conversation among my friends and thoughts on this topic seemed to be split in the middle.

So I am just curious, what's your opinion?

or:I'm not a big fan of tattoos in general, but in my opinion it depends on where the tattoo is located and how many tattoos a person has (doesn't count just for women). I think one small one that means something to you is not a problem at all. But if you have too many colourful tattoos all over your body, especially on arms and legs it can look a bit trashy very quickly and I think that a person can get judged easily.

or:Even people who claim to like tats call them \"tramp stamps\". You can see lots of tattooed ladies on the internet, but they always seem to be young and naked.
