How long do I wait for boyfriend to finish house before I buy my own?

I have been dating my current boyfriend for almost two years now. Last year he purchased a house and I ended my lease with a terrible landlord and moved back to my parents house. The house he bought was the definition of a "Fixer Upper" and he had said that when he finished restoring it, I could move in. He has already given me several it will be done by this date notices, and it is still under construction. I had moved out of my parents house and rented a month to month room, but had to move back home after my roommate got another roomie and had me leave. I really wanted to rent my own place, but didnt because I didnt want to be locked in a lease when he finished.
I still am living at home and have saved up enough money to buy my own house. I told him that I will do so in December if I still cant move in.
Also note that I have been helping him as much as I can to fix up the place. (I work 60-75 hours per week so sometimes I can help more than others). I have been helping for a while now.
The part that is hard is that he wants me to move in with him before he can decide whether or not he wants to marry me, but it feels like his house will never be done. Also considering that we have been dating nearly 2 years and that I have been really trying to help him frustrates me that he doesnt really know yet. He says it will happen "eventually" but there is no timeline when it will happen or when I can eventually move in.
What should I do?

or:Sounds like he is taking his time not knowing if you keep helping what the out come will be.I think i would get my own place you might not be able to help him thou i think thats what he counts on.
