How long does it take for a fractured L4 vertebrae on both sides of your spine to heal?
Ive been in a brace for 8 weeks now and the injury is still causing me pain. The doctor said he thought Id be pain free and ready for physical therapy
I've been in a brace for 8 weeks now and the injury is still causing me pain. The doctor said he thought I'd be pain free and ready for physical therapy by now aanf I'm not so I'm starting to get really worried. Can someone please tell me how long it usually takes for this injury to heal? Thankyou.

or:Normally it should be healed your doctor is right, however it can take longer for some and you will probably be sore for a while but only you know your pain and how your feeling if the pain worsens seek a doctor immediately there could be some further inner damage that they did not catch the first time
or:You need to take calcium and magnesium and vitamin D because that is what back bones are made of. A doctor won't tell you that because he has no training in nutrition. Study some books about nutrition so you know how to eat right.
or:The time can vary greatly. My wife had two fractured vertebrae, and was in a brace for almost a year. She finally got used to the brace which was very immobilizing. It went from her hips to the back of her head and under her chin with a strap around her forehead.
