How long notice do work have to give before changing rotas?

Ive been given a shift an hour before it starts, Our rotas are online and only had 1 shift on it, it informs me when shifts are added and Ive just got

I've been given a shift an hour before it starts, Our rotas are online and only had 1 shift on it, it informs me when shifts are added and I've just got a new shift that starts in an hour, can they do that?

or:You would think that they would have to put that up at least 1-2 weeks in advance at least thats how my job done things.
