Are they hand-engraved, CNC-machined, or done with any other methods? I would like to know how they are manufactured.

The features on the periphery of the part can be installed with a number of different techniques such as beeding and with the use of various dies and punch combinations. Transfer presses are amazing machines and can be rebuilt from 100 year old machines and still meet the production requirements of present day. Although, the expertise of how to setup and engineer components using a transfer press are far more rare than the available machines.
