How to calculate the right number of plants to have in an office space?

Do you know of a formula or online calculator that will tell how many plants is the right number to have in an office? Perhaps per sqft or # of people

Perhaps per sqft or # of people? it just seems that having 18 plants (per some online articles) in an area of 1800 sqft seems little excessive, it will look like a jungle. Unless we are not talking of a plant being one pot. For example, english ivy or pothos, how many plants do you consider to be a normal pot? One? or the number of stems? -- I am doing a project and will like to present proposal to get plants for the office, but need to know what is the right number and back it up.

To be honest, I don't think there is a plant formula. You just don't want it overwhelming so that visitors think they need a machete to find the water cooler or that a silverback gorilla is going to lumber out any minute.In a lobby or waiting area less is more just like adding jewelry. In decorating remember the rule of three. One large one in the corner and two on a table for instance. No corner then one medium size and two small on a table. One or two medium size on a credenza and one small on the reception desk. Big reception counter one large, one medium and one small, you get the idea.
