How to create a queue button on my website to connect users who also click the button?

I'm looking to create several buttons to place someone into a queue to match with another member on my website who has also clicked the button.
The users will then be able to chat with each other in order to exchange friend codes from their handheld devices so they can issue a battle with each other.
The battling is held outside the website on the handheld devices, I just need a way to connect the two users initially.
Is it a module or addon? Do I need to hire a web designer? Are there paid services online I can look into?
I have been looking into this online for ages and can't find anything related to it.
