or:An industrial solvent might work, but if you don't want to risk wrecking your windowsills or hurting yourself, I'd recommend mopping it with boiling hot soapy water followed quickly by a Brill pad. The heat might soften the tar enough to remove it. Whatever you try, be careful, okay?
