I don't want to draw something for someone?

I like to draw people, but in more of artsy positions and my friend asked me to draw a selfie of her and her mom. I said I would do it because she said she'd pay me, and I think that would be a good experience for me. But now I don't want to. I don't like the way they are positioned because it's a selfie and I'd rather draw someone with a serious expression--as they are smiling in the picture she sent me. I like to be inspired by a picture I'm drawing, and I can't do my absolute best if I don't feel anything while creating it? I don't know if that makes sense or makes me a horrible artist, but I said I would do it, which was almost a month ago. She asks me about it, and I tell her I haven't started it yet because of school work. School ends in three days, so what can I tell her? "Sorry, I don't want to draw that picture." ?? I want to be honest with her because I don't like to lie to people, but she's a sensitive person, and I'll only make her feel bad because she's been waiting for it. What do I do?
