Okay so this only happened 3 times, 2 of which were the same dream played over again. It was actually about 4 years ago(2013), and it still blows my mind and I catch myself thinking about it from time to time. The dreams all felt so real, the ones where you wake up gasping for air not knowing where you are, except multiplied by about 2 in realness. The first time I had one of these dreams I didn't think anything of it. It was a business meeting in Chicago and I did learn the name of somebody(a guy), but of course I didn't think much of it so I do not remember the name. But ironically, I am currently working on building a company(2017). Weird right?
The second time I had a dream like this was about a month after. In this dream I fell in love with this woman, she was my dream girl to the T. And again, I learned her name and everything. Immediately after I woke up, I typed her name in on google, she didn't have an extremely common name. Boom, there before my eyes was the girl I dreamed of on google images. Totally freaked out I looked more into her and found out that there was no way I could have ran into her, or seen her somewhere, she lived in scotland and i was in the united states. So i just kinda shook it off and thought, probably just a coincidence and someone that looks very similar. About two weeks later I have the exact same dream. I am convinced after this one that it was her in my dream.

common sense would say impossible. In depth thinking would say irrational. But, It happened. And still today, 4 years later I am thinking about it.I thought about pursuing her, but how do you explain to someone that you are contacting someone to tell them you are contacting them because you dreamt about them 4 years ago. And I've also thought, even though I find it hard to believe "seeing into the future" ultimately i could never rule it out. But If i ever find myself in a business meeting in chicago with the guy from my dream, you better believe the next day I would be contacting the girl from scotland!

or:Im answering the best of my knowledge. The human brain is powerful it can do many things and of coarse is the main powerhouse of the body. When you are asleep your brain is more active than when your awake thus you can have very real dreams. With enough practice as well you can lucid dream in where you can control what happens in your dreams but thats a difderent point. Reading what you said about your dream of the girl in scotland and you never seen her before rules out my theory in which your brain mentally takes pictures during the time your awake and when you sleep you have people in your dreams you dont even know but they appear in your dreams. But searching her name knowing her name in the dream finding her and know her location is a whole complete different story. Theories theories theories, another theory i have is that when one is asleep the brain is powerful enough to relive our \"past life\" or like you said \"see into the future\". We all have our beleifs about the afterlife and reincarnation about having past lifes and such but if our soul remembers the past life or sees into the future our brain is the key to see all that which explains (sorry for my spelling) De Ja Vu where you get that feeling that you have lived that moment already because you dreamt it already in the past. I hope some or any of this info has helped you understand a bit better it was more like an opinion than facts after all, all of these are theories and none have been proven yet or wont at all. Try consulting a Proffesor in which they study this for a living you should get a clearer answer. \"We spend years trying to find out what is in the outreaches of space and what lies in the deepest parts of the ocean, but the true secrets are within the undiscovered parts of our minds.\"-Me. Hope this helped!! :D
