This family has an odd situation. I am 20 with about 8 years experience and I am in school for child development and therefore know lots about children. I also am not the type of nanny to just watch the kids, I actually play with them and make sure they have a good time. The kids are 7,15 and 18. Don't ask.
The mom is a single mom and doesn't have a huge budget but has asked what I would charge to watch all three of them for 24 hours while she is gone. I really don't know what to charge as I am used to nannying for either a full day or 12 hours, or doing long weekends or weeks with families on vacation and they normally give me a set rate for those long weekends of like $500 or so. My hourly rate fluctuates depending on what the families can afford. Currently, the lowest hourly rate I get is about $12 an hour and the most being $25 an hour.
So what should I tell this mom the amount would be for 24 hours??
Thanks!

or:i think i would charge right around 600 for 24 hours this seems like it would be a good price for three kids with the experience and schooling and her leaving them in the best hands it should be good

or:I would charge somewhere around $200 or so. After all, 2 of them are almost adults and could probably take care of themselves, and you said that the family does not have a very large budget. But also consider your needs as well!

or:Around $250 with their family having a low budget, having 1 adult and almost adult teen, and for 24 hours.
