I LOVE animals. My stepdad killed our pet pig and my mom chose him over me. Is that right?

My mom found her husband at a bar. They've been married three years. He a horrid alcoholic. We got a pet pig that HE wanted and we were trying to train him because he was raised on a farm. We were doing so well until one night my step dad got wasted and was rough housing the pig which he wasn't used to and the pig snapped at him and he beat the pig to death. My mom chose him over me. She wouldn't let me call the cops or anything. Someone reported it and I told her about when I found out and she kicked me out. Even tho I haven't finished high school. Is that right ?

or:NO, It's not right how can a mom choose over a man than her own blood child that doesn't make sense that guy must have drugged your mom or something wait! If she kicked u out then where r u living ur dad, grandma, etc.? Not saying im a stalker or anything but yah...
or:Of course this not right! And even though your mom hasn't allowed you to call the cops you should have done it because it's something dangerous and must be handled rightfully by the cops. If you didn't call them you might regret it your whole life because this is for your good and others' too. I hope things are getting better though...

The way I see it is, she's with her second husband, she's trying to make the marriage and family work, you will not be the one dealing with an angry step father the way SHE has to deal with him. Sorry to say but you sound childish stating that she put him before you. She's a human being and she's not goin to end a marriage or do whatever YOU think she should do because of his drinking problem resulting in a dead pig. Is she suppose to divorce him because you lost a pet and future breakfast meal? I hate to sound harsh but it seems like if you have issue with him, man up and address his drinking problem. Things are not like television or even what you learn in school isn't always right about life problems, it's more complicated then that. You call the police, he goes to jail, he gets released and now you have a bigger problem in your hands. OR you stand by your family whether they are right or wrong because soon you will be graduating high school and starting your own life and you will need your family to support you even when you are in the wrong. It's your choice.
