I am trying to write a book about the Seven Deadly Sins and their counterparts. The sins were born from humans who have abused Earth and in return she is having them kill off humans who she believes deserves to die. Humans retaliate by taking seven children who they believe are holy and they turn them into their "angels" who they believe will save them. I don t want to know them Lust or Greed or Kindness. The virtues were born human and were experimented on and the Sins were born from humans, they will have regular names but I don t know what to name them. Any ideas?

or:Names are meaningless alone. They may inherit purpose, theme or rhythm to elicit interest. For a purpose, you'd need a great deal of the plot's details elaborated, so that it could affect or reflect these bits subtly. A theme can be a personal interest, basically spicing up with references to other works (such as naming or nicknaming your angels as biblical ones), or could be used as representative of their personality (which you ought to construct as part of the plot, given how it would affect their actions under given circumstances). Rhythm if you're into that sorta poetry integration, and it might ease memorization for the reader. You could pick regular names (in whose locality?), but you may as well use placeholder1A thru 7B and get on with it till you've got a better grip on the sort of personality attached, then replace all instances in the editor. To be honest, methinks sins as a theme have become equally as trite as their naming convention. Notwithstanding, the details would spell the difference.
