I recently got a kitty (9 weeks old) and the day I brought him back I started coughing, it feels like there's phlegm in my throat and I need to clear my throat often. But I don't have watery eyes or running nose, just a ill throat. Today when I woke up I'm coughing worse. It feels like I have hairballs in my throat. And my cough sounds hollow... I live with a roommate and she doesn't have any problems like me (we live in the same room). Could this be a type of cat allergy? Or something else? How would I treat it?
