Basically I sold my debit card to a stranger being paid $300 for it, they told me that they can't open a bank account so they are going to use it just a regular debit card. I assumed that they can't do any harm to me as it is a debit card and it has only what they deposit in it. I have the online banking details and can check on the statement everyday, so far they used it at supermarkets. So, what else can they do beside depositing/withdrawing money from the card? Can they sign a contract of some sort or lend money on the card? They also have the online banking details. I was being told at the bank that they can't go overdraft on it. I really didn't wanted to do it, but I am in a really tight situation right now, so the money went only for food actually...

or:Yes. They can use it as proof of id depending on the security standards of the place they try it at.My suggestion would be to report it as stolen but I assume that this would be an issue for the purchaser. The whole transaction is very shady and even if he is using it with your permission he is arguably committing fraud by pretending to be you.
