He made more of an effort to talk to me after that and called me super brave for telling him, him and I have become way better friends after I confessed. What do you guys think?

If his response was positive then I guess he appreciates that you told him but he didn't react any other way so I guess he's trying to tell you that he respects what you told him but that he doesn't like you like that.Guy-I think he does, he just doesn't know how to express it just yet so maybe there's hope(Me and my friend answered this)
