I was on my Mac book air laptop and this page opened and said there was a virus help?

I know what that means they want me to pay them to get rid off something they did but I cant get rid of it and I dont know what to do I cant shut down

or:Go in and see if you can get a virus app this will help get ride of it disk clean and run a virus check and mall ware app. The ones that are good their free avast,avg,microsoft essentials this will help they scan immediately after being installed.Then keep a virial app in there and up to date after do a disk clean up then defragment every week.
