I didn't know what to do as I am a new driver and I left the scene to think about what to do. I decided writing a note with details is better than a hit and run. I wrote a note and went back to the scene and the car had disappeared. It was not a resident car as I knocked on people's houses and they explained it wasn't their car. What should I do?

or:www.insurance.com/auto-insurance/parked-car-insurance.htmlBeing a new driver is no excuse. You were in the wrong and you committed a crime when you drove away. Why didn't you call your insurance company? They would have told you what to do. As a licensed driver you are supposed to KNOW what to do in the event of an accident. I'm sure it says in the drivers handbook you get at the DMV office where you took your test.
