I'm a jr. drilling engineer who is working in Canada. Have a question regarding the torque value?
... when drilling in sliding mode. Theoretically, when drilling the hole in sliding mode, we can not get a torque value because the top drive is not
... when drilling in sliding mode. Theoretically, when drilling the hole in sliding mode, we can not get a torque value because the top drive is not rotating. but the monitoring the well on the system in real time, I can see the torque value even if drilling in sliding mode and shows the range of torque value are fluctuating sharply than when drilling in rotating mode.
Please let me know anyone else can explain this.
