or:Whether it is an urban legend or a historical folklore, the monsters created in stories remain same because of human instincts and natural fears. Even if two people live miles apart, the basic fact that they are afraid of things they can not perceive or have power over them is left unchanged. That's why ultimately the same types of monsters are created.
