In the summer will a hot tub get to temperatures over 100 even though it is set on 93?

Our hot tub is set on 93 and when I got into it it was 106. Too hot to use. The outside temperature was in the mid nineties yesterday and the overnight temp was in the mid eighties. I do not think it is normal for a hot tub to jump that high in temperatures. Is it?

or:You might try and set it at a different temp lower the temp this should help it to beable to ajust where it won't be so hot just have someone ajust the temperature for you.
