Internet connection, but only google is working?

I have an internet connection and I can get on things in my browser just fine, such as youtube and this site. Anything else, such as Skype, Steam, or battle.net, simply won't connect to the internet, and I find it unlikely that both of these services are having issues right now at the same time. How would one fix this problem? I need my video games!
