Ipod wifi trouble. please help me asap?

Usually it works fine. it did this one time and i turned the device off and on then it worked fine. However the past couple days it hasnt been working but for maybe one minute every twenty minutes or so. its very off and on. mostly off. It is connected to our home network. i have tried turning it off and on this time and that isnt working for i now.
