Is 3 days after missing a period a good time to test for pregnancy ?

Hi , my menstruel cycle is usually 28 days , my last period was on the 9th march , I had intercourse on the 21st march when my bf was in town , Im now 2 days late and planning on having a Blood test for HCG tomorrow ( so i'll be 3 days late ) How much accuracy can i get from it ? Just to make things clear Im hoping for a negative result ( since i'm 21 and still in College ), so if i have a negative result tomorrow would that be it ? Im stressed because of midterms so i would like to get tested as soon as possible but only if the result i get is 100% accurate at that point . So is now a good time or do i need to wait more ?
