or:Well 3g melatonin is relatively harmless with dimetapp. I don't think you should be mixing it. Give your child dimetapp first, then give melatonin 2-3 hours. Just to avoid any side affects while sleeping. You should especially do this if you've never gave your child any medicine. If your child was allergic to any medical substance and you fed it melatonin, it could pass out and die while asleep; depending on the severity of the allergic reaction.
