The toe closest to my little toe was stubbed on a piece of wood we kept under the couch to make it sit up higher. Of course, it hurt like hell when I stubbed it, I was expecting the pain to go down but its only gotten worse. When I checked it this morning it was swelling a bit and it's kind of bent. It hurts so bad when I touch it when I try to make my toes go down, the 'stubbed' toe won't go down. It hasn't changed color yet but I'm very worried because I'm having trouble walking :( My friend offered to take me to the ER but I'm kind of embarrassed that it will just be a stubbed toe. help?

or:Your toe would heal on it's own, but if it's not in the correct position or you can't put it in the correct position, then you should go to the doctor. It's possible your toe could be dislocated? They would need to do an x-ray to see what's going on.
