Is shaved (broken down in to small ball like structures) styrofoam hazardous if thrown at someone?

I shaved styrofoam down to make it like a fake snow substance, and I want it to be thrown at me for my English performance but I'm not sure if it's hazardous to inhale or not or hazardous in general! Thanks

or:It's hazardous to inhale, offcourse. Except the shaved styrofoams are large enough so they won't enter your nose's holes. Or, if you're not mind about the shaved styrofoams' size, you should use masker when performing your English performance.
