I ask this because there is conflicting information on the internet. Wikipedia says the LHS is the left hemispher, controls emotions, impulses and creativity, while the RHS is the right hemisphere, controls logical thinking, language and risk avoidance. However, it is commonly known that each hemisphere controls the opposite half of the body. The left hemisphere controls the right hand, which is correlated in media with logical thinking. This contradicts Wikipedia and other articles online. If so, is LHS actually meant to name the left brain hemisphere, or the half of the body it controls (the opposite)? Psychology majors and professors, how do I identify in my body the so called LHS and/or left hemisphere (if they are different terms)?
