I suspect you are going to spend a lot of money on repairs. If you want a minimum cost car, and you should, the thing to do is see what the local cabs and cops are driving, and look for one of those models on the used market. Then do not spend any money on repairs. It is tempting to think you can do just this one repair and the car will be good for a few more years, but that does not happen with a used car. You only buy gas and oil, and when it needs anything else you sell it and buy one that does not need repairs yet. And that is the cheapest way to own a used car.
