We are older (60's) and want to get married, but my health insurance comes from Medicaid. I only get $700 a month from SS. If I marry, I will lose my health benefits. My fiancé doesn't have them, either, but he has much more money than I do. We are thinking of not legally getting married, but having a commitment ceremony instead and hopefully, we can make it legal someday. My fiancé says he will write a will that takes care of me, if something should happen to him. Is this advisable? Thank you in advance.

or:your fiance should have medicare if you do a commitment ceremony you should be able to keep your health insurance there nothing that should keep him from writing a will to take care of you theres nothing wrong with that cause it gives you something you can count on if something happens to him right now i think it would be better to go with the fact that your commited to each other then down the way maybe you could get married later
