My boss had talked to me a few months ago about some possible org restructuring to focus more on our business clients, but nothing was concrete, he had just asked me what were my thoughts about what I wanted to do next. So next thing I know I am sitting in a peer manager meeting to welcome a new manager hired to manage a facility we just acquired, and that is when he announces a bunch of other changes: that one of my colleagues is being transferred from the facility he has overseen for several years to continue as director of some bogus business line without direct reports. My boss then announces the newly hired mgr is taking over my colleague's facility and doesnt say who is then covering the new facility our company recently acquired. When I ask who will cover the new facility my boss evades the question and just responds that one of my other colleagues is being reassigned to my facility and I am being reassigned to my colleague's, technicall swapping places. I held my tongue but this is not good....thoughts?

or:Yes you should confront him because its not right to move you from one place to another without asking if its alright. Its plain rude to do anything without permission. Maybe just ask him \"From now on if it would be ok to let me know about changes before hand.\" I hope this helped.
