I work at a school camp centre, where my hours change from one week to the next. One week I might work 2 days, the next I might work 6 days. I'm all good with that.

My issue is that my boss will put up the roster, say on Sunday afternoon, and it says that I'm working only Wednesday and Friday. But then on Tuesday afternoon he'll put up a revised roster saying I'm now working Thursday as well. It really makes me angry because I'll plan other things for those days, such as working for my other job, and my other boss will be angry about me giving him short notice. Sometimes, he will change it the day before.

Are there any rules for employers about giving staff a certain amount of notice about rostering them on? I would like more work, I just want to know about it in advance! (Oh, and in my contract it says "staff will be given two weeks notice of working days, where practicable." This NEVER happens.)
