My ex-girlfriend left me broken and numb, but then she decided to hook up with my only friend. Now I am enraged and want to cut it off with both of them but that would leave me with nobody but myself. I can’t think straight so I need an outside opinion.

or:That must be really hard for you. A less than desirable situation. Even though technically she is allowed to date your friend, it is morally questionable and usually not well received by anyone. Now, of course it would be best to restore the friendship with your friend, but you might need some time to heal from the relationship first. Maybe ask the friend for some time for you to get over everything. Of course that would leave you alone, but in the meantime I suggest you try and make new connections with other people, maybe through a music or sport group, through church (if you are religious), or enrol in other courses in your local community, even online you will find local meetup's that meet in restaurants or hike together or whatever you may be interested in. Distraction is a good idea right now.
