I practice Wicca and I wanted to tell my family that I'm a witch but when I brought up Wicca my family and friends, who are all Christians, had very negative reactions. I live in a small, rual and very very Christian town. But its my religion and I cant just stop practicing my religion. What should I do?

or:That's like saying you can't stop banging your head against a wall. No matter what, you own yourself and can do anything you choose. You have chosen to rebel against everything your family considers good.Choose something else.

or:So numerous are the forms of witchcraft that people disagree even on the meaning of the word “witch.” However, professed witches often identify with Wicca—defined in one dictionary as “a pagan nature religion having its roots in pre-Christian western Europe and undergoing a 20th-century revival.”Many are drawn to witchcraft today because it seems to be a harmless, benign, nature religion. In some communities it has become accepted. It is not feared. Rather, it has often become trivialized. In a climate where religious tolerance leads many to embrace even the bizarre, witchcraft has gained considerable respectability.Indeed, the world of religions has become a marketplace from which people are free to choose one that fits their needs, much as one would buy a pair of shoes. In contrast, Jesus spoke of only two choices. He said: “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.” (Matthew 7:13, 14) Naturally, we are free to choose which path to take. But since our eternal welfare is at stake, that choice is vitally important. To achieve spiritual enlightenment, we must pursue the way of truth—the way that is found only in God’s Word, the Bible.

or:Isaiah 8:19 And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter, ” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? Isaiah 8:21-22 21 They will pass through it hard-pressed and hungry; and it shall happen, when they are hungry, that they will be enraged and curse their king and their God, and look upward. 22 Then they will look to the earth, and see trouble and darkness, gloom of anguish; and they will be driven into darkness.

or:Don't change yourself. I understand how hard it can be to be faithful in your wiccan religion. be yourself, they will just have to accept that that's who you are.

or:Stay true to your religion and your choices, you shouldn't be punished because your family cannot accept your choices. That is their loss, not yours, that they cannot appreciate and accept that you are not a Christain.
