My housemate plays computer games constantly most days until 2am. He uses a microphone to talk to the other people he is playing against. We share a really thin wall and I can literally hear everything he is saying. I'm trying to revise but I can't concentrate. How can I get him to be quiet? And what is an acceptable time in the evening to ask for silence? I'm one of only 2 girls in this 8 person house and I really don't want to be the nag but I can't go on like this until June!

or:I'm assuming that if he is up until 2am most days, then he doesn't have anywhere to be at 09:00 in the morning? When does he sleep? Whatever time that is, why not play your music extra loud so he can appreciate the inconvenience first hand.Alternatively, look for alternative accommodation, perhaps with the other girl from your existing house.
