My king snake is shaking its tail after I put newspaper in? WHY IS HE DOING THIS?

Is he being spoiled or should i really be worried?he has never acted defensively like this (also my first snake)and he is trying his best not to touch

he has never acted defensively like this (also my first snake)and he is trying his best not to touch the news paper, clearly.... attempting high positions..
any opinions or advice? should i ignore him and make him suck it up until i can clearly clean matt?

or:What did you change it from? Like did you have bedding before? He probably just is a little freaked out and may be acting a little cage aggressive because he needs time to settle in and get used to the change. He hold be fine after a bit, is he ok now? (I realize this post was made a few months ago.
